Women's Professional Tackle Football
Women’s tackle football is building momentum across the U.S., giving women the chance to compete in the full-contact version of the game at a professional level. Played with pads, helmets, and NCAA-style rules, it combines strength, strategy, and athleticism while breaking barriers in a sport that has long excluded women.
Through the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC), we are part of the leading movement shaping the future of the game. With 16 teams nationwide, a spring season, and the IX Cup Championship, the WNFC provides the structure, visibility, and professionalism needed to elevate women’s tackle football. Our mission is bigger than the scoreboard, we are here to accelerate equity, open new pathways, and inspire the next generation of athletes.
At the Golden State Storm, we represent more than just football. We are a community hub for empowerment, connection, and opportunity across Northern California. By showcasing women athletes at the highest level, building strong fan engagement, and forging meaningful partnerships, we are helping to grow the sport and cement women’s tackle football as a vital part of the professional sports landscape.
